Coco’s Story, A Brief History

No one knows for certain of where and when Coco’s secret recipe originated; her great-great grandmother told her the recipe was gifted to her great-great grandmothers great-great grandmother by a djinn in exchange for his freedom, and to a very young Coco at the time the story seemed believable. Others tell tales of the families connection to a mystical band of gypsies who roamed ancient Europe traveling the trade routes of Rome and the Ottomans during a time of magic and mythology, all the while perfecting the recipe in an effort to gain favor with royals, sheiks, and warlords of the time. There must be some truth there somewhere and whatever the story may be, we know one thing for certain, that for generations her family has kept the recipe for this divine confection a closely held secret…until now. Throughout history there have been foods considered to be divine, food of the gods if you will. The ancient Mayans called this Cacao. The ancient Greeks Ambrosia. We call it Deliquesce, and our story is just beginning.
